Peace is the foundation of our nation’s development. For Tanzanians, peace does not only exist in government but lives deep in our hearts. We have lived in peace for many decades, becoming accustomed to it and loving it dearly. Tanzanians are patient, wise people who are not easily shaken by provocations or incitement.
Our political, economic, and social differences can be resolved through wise dialogue and mutual understanding. Instead of violence, let us discuss and reach agreements as we have done since independence. The Government of His Excellency the President continues to bring development in all sectors; therefore, it is our duty as citizens to protect this peace so that we can continue building a strong nation.
I urge my fellow Tanzanians to completely reject incitement from some activists and people who do not love peace, those who seek to disturb our stability for their selfish interests. Our peace is a great treasure that cannot be traded for words of hatred or online propaganda.
Let us hold hands, support government efforts, and strengthen our unity. Let us remain vigilant and report anyone trying to destroy peace. May Tanzania continue to be an island of peace in Africa and the world.
Peace is freedom. Peace is development!
